Malaysia Airport

Forty minutes by ferry from Lumut, the popular island resort of Pulau Pangkor
(Pangkor Island) welcomes visitors with its serene golden beaches,
crystalline blue waters, and cool refreshing breezes. Located about 90km
south west of lpoh, it is largely inhabited by fisherfolk.

They live in scattered fishing settlements along the coast especially on
the eastern side, facing the town of Lumut and Teluk Batik, and their catch
comprises mainly cuttlefish and anchovy. The modern facilities make it an
ideal gateway. A wide range of sun and sea activities are available such as
scuba diving, wind-surfing, fishing, snorkelling.

Malaysia Airlines

Malaysian Airlines is set to launch daily scheduled flights directly between the Maldives and Kuala Lampur from September 1.
“We decided to increase the flights due to the increasing demand. The introduction of direct flights is due to the complaints we have been receiving from the Maldivians, as the passengers have to stop at Sri Lanka. The increase in the number of tourists coming to the Maldives from China is also one reason,” an official of the airline said.
According to the new schedule for Friday-Wednesday, Malaysian/Maldives flight will depart from Malaysia at 21:55 Malaysian time and will land in the Maldives at 23:05 local time. While the flight will depart from the Maldives at 23:50, it will land in Malaysia at 07:10 Malaysian time.
The flight on Thursday will depart from Kuala Lampur at 23:00 Malaysian time and will land in the Maldives at 00:10 local time. The flight will depart from the Maldives at 1am local time and will arrive in Kuala Lampur at 8:20 Malaysian time.

Angkasa Pura II operates 10 Airports in Indonesia and the new airport taxes are as follows:

1. Soekarno – Hatta Jakarta : Domestic Rp40.000 & International Rp150.000
2. Polonia – Medan : Domestic Rp35.000 & International Rp75.000
3. SM Badaruddin II – Palembang : Domestic Rp35.000 & International Rp100.000
4. MinangKabau – Padang : Domestic Rp35.000 & International Rp100.000
5. St Syarif Kasim II – Pekanbaru : Domestic Rp30.000 & International Rp75.000
6. Halim PerdanaKusuma – Jakarta : Domestic Rp30.000 & International Rp80.000
7. Supadio – Pontianak : Domestic Rp30.000 & International Rp75.000
8. Sultan Iskandar Muda – NAD : Domestic Rp25.000 & International Rp100.000
9. Husein Sastranegara – Bandung : Domestic Rp25.000 & International Rp75.000
10. Raja H Fisabilillah – Tanjung Pinang : Domestic Rp20.000

Angkasa Pura only increased the domestic departure airport tax for Medan Polonia from Rp25.000 to Rp35.000. International departures remains the same as Rp75.000 for now. We are sure that when the new airport is ready, it will be increased again.

Jayapura - Planes Merpati De Heavilland Canada 6 [Twin Otter] type was reported missing. Aircraft beregistrasi PK-NVC from Sentani airport to airport Oksibil Mountain Stars take off at 10:15 and should WIT until 11:05 at WIT. However, the plane lost contact at 10:28 WIT 53 nm on the distance from the Sentani carrying passengers 11 adults, 2 children, and 3 kru.

Director of Operations of PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines Nikmatullah Captain said, his side are still working to find the impression that the plane lost in Papua. "We immediately call up the plane to search for similar aircraft in the path that some may be in route-Oksibil Jayapura (capital of the Star Mountains District)," he said. Flight made the plane was the unlucky flight routine Papua Oksibil airlines served twice a day.

He said that, there are no technical obstacles were reported. The aircraft was conducting routine before flying, and fuel was still met for 3.5 hours even though the flight routes are just 55 minutes.

Among those in attendance were Hong Kong Disneyland spokesperson and entertainer Jacky Cheung, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts President Jay Rasulo, Hong Kong Disneyland Group Managing Director Don Robinson and hundreds of government officials, business and community leaders, and Cast Members. Hong Kong Disneyland is scheduled to open in late 2005 / early 2006. Unlike the three other Magic Kingdoms that have opened after the Disneyland, this Sleeping Beauty Castle is based on Disneyland's original. Dragon boat races are believed to have originated in China more than 2,500 years ago, contemporaneous with the Greeks beginning their games at Olympia.
