Disguise: Gary Glitter looked ridiculous in his grey wig disguise
Shamed popstar Gary Glitter was photographed near his London flat recently while sporting a ridiculous grey wig.
It is one of the many disguises that the convicted sex offender favours in order to protect himself from unwanted attention.
However he is now gradually adjusting to going out in public once more, three years after his return from Vietnam.
The 67-year-old has a series of wigs that he wears when out and about in London, and the grey tufty number certainly was not making him look any less ludicrous - or more conspicuous.
Glitter, 66, real name Paul Gadd, is on the sex offenders’ register and is banned from 19 countries.
He was jailed in Vietnam for sexually assaulting two girls aged 10 and 11 and was deported back to the UK in 2008.
Shamed: The former popstar is rarely seen out anymore
In 1999 he was imprisoned for possessing child pornography.
Since his return to the UK he has rarely been seen but he may be starting to become accustomed to living a normal life again.
The former glam rock star's music has largely been banned from the airways since his fall from grace.
Inconspicuous: Gary has several disguises to shield him from unwanted attention
He had several hit songs during the 1970s and continued to record into the 1980s and 1990s.
Earlier this year, Gwyneth Paltrow was criticised for performing one of Glitter's songs on US TV show Glee.
Children's charities condemned the notion that her rendition of Do You Wanna Touch Me would earn Glitter money in royalty payments.
