It was always going to be awkward when the Mark Wright and Lauren Goodger met on screen on the third series of TOWIE.
But viewers might have been left shocked by the nightclub promoter’s emotional outburst on the first show of the new series.
Mark was seen in tears talking to Arg about his recent breakup from his fiancée Lauren Goodger he asked: ‘Where have you been?’

He told the wedding singer: ‘I’m genuinely cut to pieces, I don’t want to think about girls I’m not going to talk to another girl for fourteen nights.’
While Mark was busy being emotional with Arg Lauren was seen having lunch with Lauren Pope and it seems that she isn't too bothered about the break up.
The fake tan owner, who has moved in with the D.J. said that Mark always wants to see her dog Wrighty but she needs to think of a new name for him. She quipped: 'Wrongy, not Mr Wright you're Mr Wrong.'

Lauren revealed that she still had her engagement ring, which was in her jewelery box at home and was not sure what to do with it.
Later in the programme the former couple both attended Jessica, Mark's sister's birthday party.
While Mark arrived late and told his sister and Arg that it had taken a lot of courage to come, Lauren said she 'didn't give a s*** that he was there.'

After drinking a beverage Mark built up the courage to go over and speak to his ex.
He told her: 'I just want to say a few things with you. I will never ever ever forget the way that I love you.'
He added: 'I don't it to be like "Oh there’s Lauren let’s make her jealous" but I think that this is it and we both need to move on and we both need to move on.'

While Mark appeared upset Lauren laughed particularly when he told her: 'You are the most beautiful girl to me.'
And it wasn't just Mark and Lauren who were reviewing past relationships it seems that Joey Essex is still hung up on Sam Faiers while things are still very awkward between Kirk Norcross and Lauren Pope after he broke up with her for the second time.
While it seemed many of the cast were stuck in the past the new series brings new faces to the Essex-based reality TV show.

First to join the cast is Joey's sister Frankie Essex who was seen with her cousin Chloe reviewing Joey's unusual outfit choice.
Next up are buff boys Dino and Georgie, the Greek identical twins who were quick to flash their flesh showing off their toned bodies.

Later the boys were seen chatting to Maria Fowler and Gemma Collins but as the group stood up to dance the height difference between the boys and the girls became clear, with the girls towering above the twins.
And also new to the Essex lineup, adding more muscles to the show is Lucy Mecklenburgh's boyfriend Mario who certainly wasn't shy about showing off his body.

He was seen showering before going into the bedroom to talk to Lucy.
And ti seems that Mario is the jealous type telling his girlfriend she couldn't go Jess's party because Mark Wright, who Lucy had a fling with, would be there.
He said: 'Why would you want to go anyway,' before dropping his towel to show Lucy his assets.
Gemma Collins showed off her newly slimmed down figure and was paid several compliments being told by Harry Derbridge and Sam Faiers that she looked like Jennifer Lopez while at the party Arg told her he had mistaken her for Cheryl Cole.
