Looking this good doesn't come cheap! Kelly Osbourne is said to have spent £5,000 on her pre-Emmy makeover


When she arrived at the Emmy Awards earlier this month, Kelly Osbourne wowed fans with her sleek and sophisticated appearance.

But it has now been revealed that preparing for the ceremony didn't come cheaply for the 26-year-old star.

In fact, Kelly is thought to have spent an astonishing £5,000 on ensuring she was red carpet ready for the 18th September ceremony.


Before making her way to the ceremony, Kelly is said to have had a £250 Sonya Dakars Diamond Facialto ensure her skin was flawless in front of the cameras.

She clad her newly-slim physique, which she had been honing with daily personal training sessions before the big day at a cost of £500, in a £2,250 J Mendel dress and accessorised her outfit with Simona jewellery estimated to be worth in the region of £2,000.

The only thing that Kelly didn't shell out for ahead of the day was her hair colouring and styling by Judd Minter, and make-up applied by senior MAC artist John Stapleton.

In addition to her beauty regime before the big day, Kelly is believed to have followed a strict detox diet in a bid to lose a few pounds.

Kelly had apparently put on over a stone since splitting from boyfriend Anton Lombardi in the summer, and was determined to slim back down for the red carpet ceremony.

A source told Reveal magazine: 'It's no secret Kelly had regained some of the weight she had previously lost, putting on just over a stone.

'And with her small frame, it was extremely noticeable and was really getting her down.'

So, after putting herself on the Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet, Kelly managed to go from 9.5stone to 8.4stone.

The source added: 'Kelly will never be naturally skinny and will always have to work at her weight. But she asked her stylist to get a dress for the Emmys in a size eight.

'She knew it was a risk, but she said that having that goal was a huge motivation for her, and she was determined to get into a size eight.'

After squeezing in to her beautiful gown, Kelly tweeted her fans:'I want to think you guys for all the lovely comments about my dress.

'You made me feel like Grace Kelly!'
