Lunch Date

Dear Hubby....
Today you picked me up and we had a lovely lunch date. You brought pizza and sobe's and found a nice shady tree to eat under.
It was super fun.
We laughed and teased and had alot of fun.
Then you attacked me and gave me a huge hickey in plain sight on my neck. {Too much info?}
I tried to wrestle you away because yes, I have to go back to work now and will have to see my work peeps. . .

Its a good thing I love you...

and I have long hair.

Dear Gavin

The first time we met, I could see,
That you and I, were meant to be.
Your eyes were so gentle, your smile so true,
When you first held my hand, I just knew.
Now the time has gone by, through laughter and tears,
These days I shall cherish, for years upon years.
Those memories we have, shall never fade,
For those are the steps, that we have made.
That was the past, the future is near,
I anxiously wait for what will appear.
New homes, more laughter, and children so dear,
Everything will be wonderful, as long as you are near.
Gavin, I love you and always will.

~Your Lauren

Good Luck Decoding That! HAHA!

Letter

I havent posted anything in awhile and I just wanted to take a second and let my wonderful husband know how much he means to me.

Gavin,

You light up my world. You make the sun shine on the rainy-ist of days. I thank my Heavenly Father for you every day. I dont know what I did right to have such a wonderful, amazing and loving man as you. My life was forever changed the moment you gave me a chance. I love you so much. There isnt anything I wouldn't do for you. My heart skips a beat when you smile at me. My knees buckle when you kiss me softly. I only have eyes for you. I love our life together and cant wait to see what the future brings.
I am so happy I have you for all eternity. It wouldnt be Heaven without you and I cant wait to rule worlds with you.
There are so many things I love about you and I plan to let you know every single one of them.
Gavin, you are my entire reason for living and I hope to make you as happy as you have made me.

Forever Yours,
Lauren

Happy New Year!!!

One year ago today was our first date! Can you believe it? It has been such an amazing year! My new years resolution: Make this year even better! I love you Gavin!

Christmas Time at Our House

Unfortunately I have lost my camera and wasnt able to take any pictures of Christmas this year... :'( But none-the-less, it was a wonderful Christmas. We never knew it would be so hard to balance the holidays between both families but I believe we did rather well. We spend Christmas eve with my family and had a glorious dinner of prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes, rolls, and my fav...BREAD PUDDING! Yum! We then woke up bright and early to open presents and enjoy the morning with family. Gavin and I recieved some awesome stuff for our apartment and are thrilled to own such fun things. That morning Gav got to talk to his brother Matt who is on his mission in Switzerland. He seemed to be doing real well and enjoying his mission. Then we got ready and zoomed out to Spanish Fork so we could talk to his twin sister, Kate, who is also on her mission in Oakland. I have only ever talked to her over email so it was a real treat to hear her voice and enjoy talking to her. I am really excited to meet her. She comes home real soon! We then had a second Christmas with Gavin's family and got some more really cool stuff. We really have been spoiled and never expected such an awesome Christmas. Gavin really spoiled me. First, at my house, he whipped out a pretty side table and told me that me MADE it! I was so impressed! It must have taken him a really long time to make. I loved it. I also spent a lot of time into a gift I made for him. In the Disney movie, "Up" the main character and his wife make an adventure book and fill it with things that have given their life meaning. Gavin and I had been intending to start our own book but hadnt gotten around to it. So I had been saving things since we started dating and compiled it into a scrap book and made it our "Adventure Book". I put all kinds of things in it from ticket stubbs to journal entries I started since I met Gavin. It will be something we will be able to keep forever.
Then later in the day, I got spoiled some more... While we were at his house, we had second Christmas and towards the end, he said we should go for a drive. Everyone (I mean his whole family) got in their cars and we all drove to the high school. There, we went into the wood shop and there was a gorgeous canopy bed made of alder. I was shocked. It was beautiful. I couldnt believe he had made it let alone in the time frame he had. He is so amazing. I am so excited to be married to him for time and all eternity.

Happy Birthday Gavin!

Right smack in the middle of finals week, we got to celebrate Gavin's 24th birthday. That morning, we got up and went to the institute building for a wonderful breakfast of cereal and french toast. There, we ran into our institute teacher, Brother Day where he and I started a harmonious round of happy birthday where the 10 other students willingly joined in.
Afterward, we went to our new apartment and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned so we would be able to move in that week.
Then, being the good, hardworking students we are, we studied for some time before using our Texas Roadhouse giftcard and eating our second flavorful meal of the day. Then, of course, we had our waitress bring out the saddle and have all the other waiters and waitresses sing another harmonious (yet not as good as the institute students) round of happy birthday.
I love you Gavin, I am so thankful you are in my life and for all the blessings you bring me. Happy birthday babe!

Peanut Butter vs. Cottage Cheese

So far in our relationship, there hasnt really been anything to cause alot of contention... Until now.
Gavin and I were sitting in his dorm room laughing and eating our lunch that consisted of pb and j, carrots and apples. Very healthy. When all of the sudden, Gavin takes one of the baby carrots, and to my disgust, dips it into the extra-chunky peanut butter and proceeds to put it in his mouth.
I just stared in shock, not sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me. Did he really just eat peanut butter and CARROTS?! Nasty!
I was so grossed out. Is this a normal thing?
~Lauren~

Silly Lauren, First...little does she know that carrots and peanut butter is a very nutritious and tasty snack. and second... how in the world does she work up the gall to make such erroneous comment, she eats cottage cheese with about anything. Now thats gross. Infact I'm going to finish this, because the thought of peaches and cottage cheese has caused me to...... well... I'll just end it there.

Labor day weekend was awesome. Thursday was the big football game against SUU and although we lost, it was a fun and intense game. Gavin had quite a big cheer section between my family and his. :) Go number 12!!
