'It's nice to be back in fashionable clothes': Victoria Beckham models her own new design on day out with baby Harper

By Sophie Forbes

Mummy's girl: Victoria Beckham shows off another new dress from her collection as she carried baby Harper out of Barneys New York

She debuted her new collection earlier this week as part of New York Fashion Week.

But Victoria Beckham knows that there is no better advertisement for her label than if she wears the clothes herself.

The 37-year-old designer chose to wear one of her own creations for the second day in a row this morning as she took baby Harper on a shopping excursion to Barney's New York in NYC.

The star chose a brown version of the cat print shift dress, a red version of which was seen during her Victoria by Victoria Beckham catwalk show on Monday.

She paired the dress with the platform shoes she designed in collaboration with Charlotte Olympia, worn by models wore on the runway.

Victoria held on tight to a sleepy looking Harper, two months, who was cosily wrapped in a blanket.

Designer: The doting mother donned a dress from her new Victoria by Victoria Beckham collection which debuted at New York Fashion Week

Outfit number two: Just yesterday Victoria wore a spring/summer 2011 dress from her Victoria Beckham label as she shopped at Marc Jacobs

Just the day before she stepped out in a blush pink capped sleeved shift dress - a spring/summer design from her signature Victoria Beckham collection.

The mother of four recently said she is thrilled to be out of maternity wear.

'It’s actually quite nice to get out of an elasticated waist and into fashionable clothes again,' she admitted.

She also discussed how she balances having a newborn with running her fashion business.

'I’ve had to develop a very strategic way of working. But Harper has also done her bit. She’s so well behaved,' Victoria shared.

Sleepy: Baby Harper looked very comfortable in her mother's arms

Work out ready: Meanwhile dad David Beckham was given a pink LA Galaxy tracksuit by Ellen DeGeneres as he appeared on her show

Meanwhile her husband of 12 years, David Beckham, was busy receiving gifts from Ellen DeGeneres on her chat show as she compared the growing Beckham brood to that of Brad and Angelina's.

'You want five kids, so then it's a seven,' she told him. 'That's probably why you're doing it.'

'What can say?' the dashing athlete responded.

'I love the number seven.'
'If we were lucky enough to have another one, it would be great,' David admitted.

'We always spoke about having a big family. We love children. We are very blessed to have four healthy children so if one comes along that would be amazing.'

Ellen gifted him with a pink LA Galaxy tracksuit and matching booties, perfect for when Harper is ready to start following in her footballer father's footsteps.

That's quite an impressive balancing act: Victoria Beckham teeters on seven-inch heels for another shopping trip with baby Harper

By Emily Sheridan

Balancing act: Victoria Beckham cradles her nine-week-old daughter Harper Seven as she goes shopping at FAO Schwarz in New York City

With a precious cargo to carry and her recent back pain, you'd think Victoria Beckham would want to wear comfy flats for a shopping trip with baby Harper.

But after years in impractical footwear, Posh has perfected the art of walking in such high shoes and showed no fear when it came to carrying her daughter while wearing seven-inch heels.

The 37-year-old and her two-month-old daughter were spotted in matching pink outfits as they visited the FAO Schwarz toy shop in New York this afternoon.

Tender kiss: It made for a touching scene when the mother-of-four dropped her head down to give Harper a kiss

Wrapping her adorable little girl in a blanket as she entered the store, Victoria looked suitably girlie in a pink dress from her spring/summer 2011 collection and nude Christian Louboutin Daffodil 160 platform pumps - which come with a six and a half inch heel.

Victoria also popped into the Marc Jacobs store in Soho and caused quite a frenzy as she left with her little girl.

As Mrs Beckham left the boutique she had to make her way through the large crowd of fans who had gathered outside and who all wanted a picture of Victoria and Harper.

Taking a break: Victoria Beckham gave her feet a rest and gave Harper a little lie down during their trip

Tender care: The mother-of-four was seen doting over her little girl ensuring she was comfortable

But despite the constant attention, Victoria only had eyes for her baby girl.

Even amidst the hubbub the pair were able to snatch a moment's peace on a sofa, making themselves very much at home.

Victoria cuddled and kissed Harper, taking advantage of the much-needed opportunity to rest her feet.

Intimate moment: Victoria leaned over to smile at her baby

The mother-of-four has been in Manhattan since last week when she presented her Spring/Summer 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week.

And she has stayed in town, checking out some of the shows and doing a spot of shopping before she returns to her three boys and husband David in Los Angeles.

And with Harper too little to appreciate most toys, no doubt Victoria was picking up some treats for her sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz in the famous Fifth Avenue toy store.

Victoria and Harper were also spotted visiting Prada earlier this week, and the ex-Spice Girl declared her daughter loved the store.

Proud worker: A bell man at F.A.O. Schwarz looked happy to be opening the door for Mrs Beckham

Simply adorable: It appeared all the shopping had taken its toll on the little girl and she was seen giving a huge yawn

She enthused: 'We went in to Prada yesterday and she loved it. It was if she was saying, "Mummy I'm home!"'

The 37-year-old star also spoke about her love for her youngest child as she debuted her second clothing line Victoria By Victoria Beckham during fashion week.

Coochy coo: Victoria doted on her little daughter who looked more than happy nestled in her mother's arms

Strutting her stuff: Victoria looks fabulous after having given birth just two months ago and has already sprung back to her pre-baby figure

She enthused: 'We went in to Prada yesterday and she loved it. It was if she was saying, "Mummy I'm home!"'

The 37-year-old star also spoke about her love for her youngest child as she debuted her second clothing line Victoria By Victoria Beckham during fashion week.

She said: 'I can't leave her alone for a minute, I haven't been without her since she was born nine weeks ago, she's too wonderful to leave.'

Looking trim: It looks like Beckham has already lost her baby weight in the pink shift from her spring 2011 line

Helping hand: There was plenty of people to help the mother and daughter pair as they headed into the Marc Jacobs store

'I wanted something that was a little bit more affordable but I did not want to compromise with design or quality.

'It's not a second line, or a diffusion line - it's another line, another side to my wardrobe. This is a way to give my customers what they want.'

Does Harper like Marc? Victoria also visited the Marc Jacobs store in Soho and caused quite a commotion by being in the store

Pandemonium: While shopping in the store the fashion designer and her daughter and caused a crowd to form outside which proved problematic when they left

'Mummy, I'm home!' Victoria Beckham reveals baby Harper couldn't get enough of her first shopping trip to Prada

By Sarah Bull

'Mummy, I'm home!' Victoria Beckham has revealed her daughter Harper couldn't get enough of her first shopping trip to Prada earlier this week

With a mother like Victoria Beckham, it stands to reason that Harper Seven Beckham will probably turn out to be a fashionista.

However, instead of waiting until she is older to further her interest in the fashion industry, Victoria is starting her daughter early - at the tender age of just two months.

And now Victoria has revealed that Harper is already turning out to be a retail therapy fan, following a trip to designer store Prada earlier in the week.

Victoria, who is in New York with her little girl for Fashion Week, said: 'We went in to Prada yesterday and she loved it. It was if she was saying, "Mummy I'm home!" '

The 37-year-old star also spoke about her love for her youngest child as she debuted her second clothing line during fashion week.

She said: 'I can't leave her alone for a minute, I haven't been without her since she was born nine weeks ago, she's too wonderful to leave.'

Taking it all in: Harper looked very alert as her mother introduced her to the wonders of designer clothing and accessories

What about this one? Harper twists her head to check out the shoes on display at the store in New York

Meanwhile, despite being just two months old, Harper has topped a list of the hottest celebrities under the age of 25.

InStyle's Hot 100 list includes some of the most famous and impressive youngsters and adults, but tiny Harper has been deemed the most powerful of them all.

The magazine said: 'Will she be a pop star, designer or sportswoman? Either way, Posh's daughter inherits a gaggle of hunky older brothers and one heck of a wardrobe.'

Harper's wardrobe will no doubt one day include some of her mother's most famous pieces, possibly from one of Victoria's most recent collections.

Talking yesterday about her standalone brand, Victoria by Victoria Beckham, she said: 'This has been a real labour of love for me and we have been working on it for around a year.

'I wanted something that was a little bit more affordable but I did not want to compromise with design or quality.

'It's not a second line, or a diffusion line - it's another line, another side to my wardrobe. This is a way to give my customers what they want.'

And what could be a more fashionable a way to enjoy the rest of her day than hitting the shops with her daughter Harper.

Has Posh been taking style tips from David? Victoria Beckham's sportswear-inspired collection at New York Fashion Week

Mother-of-four showed racer-back necklines, drop-waist tennis dresses, baseball caps, sports jackets and even flat shoes at her spring/summer 2012 show

By Tamara Abraham

Sporting chance: Victoria Beckham's latest collection marked a departure from her usual form-fitting dresses with tennis-style dresses (on star model Arizona Muse, left) and zip-up, hooded sport jackets (right)

It was one of the hottest tickets at New York Fashion Week today, and for the lucky few to attend Victoria Beckham's show today, the presentation didn't disappoint.

Opened by supermodel Arizona Muse, the collection at the New York Public Library marked a departure from her usual form-fitting dresses, with something of a sporting theme.

The designer, 37, appeared to have taken inspiration from the world of her footballer husband with drop-waist dresses reminiscent of tennis frocks, and racer necklines that promise to take the sportswear stalwart from the gym to the most glamorous of backs.

Grosgrain shoulder straps, according to Mrs Beckham's show notes, 'reinforce a fresh functionality within the collection.'

Voluminous jackets continued the theme with hoods and zips, with leather baseball-style caps completing the look.

A colour palette of navy, black and orange looked fresh and interesting too, sitting well alongside the safer taupes, greys and creams that promise to be favourites on the shop floor.

Baby's first fashion show: The mother-of-four, who wore a black and pink dress from her Victoria by Victoria Beckham line, sparked a frenzy after the show when she shopped at Prada with daughter Harper

The shoes were also an interesting departure from her usual towering platform courts and boots. The Christian Louboutins had sharp pointed toes and leather ankle cuffs on both heels and flats (perhaps that slipped disc has had some style influence too).

The usual form for Mrs Beckham's shows is for her to talk press and buyers through each look, but this time she let the fashion make the statement.

According to the few that attended, it seems she began to thank her guests at the beginning, but was prevented from continuing by a booming soundtrack.

New look: The designer's colour palette of black, navy and neon orange looked fresh and interesting

Instead she sat front row, only standing to take her bow at the end.

She asked press and buyers to arrive early to observe silences in honour of the 9/11 ten-year anniversary today before the show kicked off.

The mother-of-four, who wore a black and pink bubble-hem dress from her Victoria by Victoria Beckham line, which launches tomorrow, is in New York with her eight-week-old daughter Harper.

Finale: Highlights included evening gowns in white with pleats (left) and slinky black with white straps (right)

Neutral territory: Safer taupes, greys and creams promise to be favourites with customers on the shop floor

She sparked a frenzy on Broadway after the show when she stopped in at the Prada store.

Mrs Beckham appears to have recovered from a slipped disc that forced her to wear flat shoes for several weeks, as she completed the look with a towering pair of black ankle boots.

Last night she teased fans with a picture of husband David with a new season tote over his head - a reference to the campaign she did for Marc Jacobs in 2008.

Are those boots really made for walking (with a baby)? Victoria Beckham teeters in platforms as she holds baby Harper

By Andrea Magrath

Highest of heels: Victoria Beckham was spotted strolling in New York this morning with baby Harper, wearing some very high platform boots

It's a good thing Victoria Beckham is an expert in walking in high heels.

The designer took her newborn baby Harper for a stroll in New York this morning wearing a pair of platform boots that most mere mortals would struggle to stay upright in.

The 37-year-old was spotted wearing flats when she was first spotted out after Harper's birth, but quickly reverted to her cherished heels in no time.

With Manhattan full to the brim with fans and photographers during Fashion Week, Victoria has preferred to hold her baby daughter when she ventures out rather than pushing her in a pram.

This morning she cradled her daughter and covered her in a light grey blanket as they ventured out.

Beckham looked sleek in a pair of black skinny jeans from her own denim line and a leather jacket which she wore with the towering platforms.

Protective: The designer cradled her newborn's head and covered her in a large grey blanket for the walk

She is hard at work preparing to show her Spring/Summer 2012 collection tomorrow morning at the New York Public Library.

And Victoria has ensured her already stylish daughter is not left out of the fashionable fun.

She tweeted yesterday: 'Casting in NY! Today I'm wearing #victoriabeckham and Baby Harper wearing Makie, excited for FW! x VB.'

The two-month-old tot was showing off her baby style yesterday in an adorable black and white outfit.

Cuddle up: Victoria held Harper close to her as they leave the Plaza hotel earlier in the week

Victoria's older children Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz have remained in LA, where they were spotted watching father David on the pitch for LA Galaxy yesterday.

Victoria flew to the East Coast with Harper this week to make final preparations for her highly anticipated runway show.

During their Thursday outing the mother-daughter duo stopped by The Plaza for lunch in between meetings for the show.

Firm grip: Victoria keeps Harper close to her as they arrive at the Plaza Hotel

The former Spice Girl took to her Twitter page to declare: 'Mummy and baby Harper are very excited for fashion week!!! X VB'

Victoria gave a hint of what can be expected from the collection and said she had tried to create 'the perfect little summer dress, something that was fun, something that was girly, something that was easy to wear, something that would take you from day through the night.'

The Big Apple of her eye: Victoria Beckham holds baby daughter Harper close as she introduces her to New York

By Georgina Littlejohn

Ladies who lunch: Victoria Beckham holds baby daughter Harper close to her as they leave the Plaza hotel in New York

As the daughter of a woman who has her finger firmly on the style pulse, it was only a matter of time before she would be attending her first fashion show.

Or fashion week in Harper Beckham's case who has made her first trip to New York with her designer mother Victoria for the start of the stylish event.

And before she was introduced to the couture elite at the start of the city's fashion week, she made her Manhattan debut outside their hotel.

Victoria cuddled her two-month-old close to her, with one hand on her head and the other cradling her bottom, as they left the Four Seasons Hotel and made their way to the Plaza for a spot of lunch.

Harper, who was dressed in a very cute black and white top and shorts, didn't make any fuss as she gripped on to her mother, despite the crowd of fans and cameras that was there to greet them.

I'm sleepy, Mummy: Harper gazes up from her mother's shoulder through bleary eyes

Firm grip: Victoria keeps Harper close to her as they arrive at the Plaza Hotel

At one point, her sleepyhead rested on her mother's chest as they left the Plaza, she lifted her head slightly and looked around her through bleary eyes.

Victoria, 37, looked very elegant in a calf-length magenta dress from her label's new autumn/winter collection.

Hanging around: Harper slumped comfortably in her mother's arms as she started to fall asleep

She teamed the dress with her trademark oversized sunglasses and knee-high Christian Louboutin high heeled boots.

Victoria and Harper are in the city for the start of fashion week today, and the former Spice Girl took to her Twitter page to declare: 'Mummy and baby Harper are very excited for fashion week!!! X VB'

A mother's love: Victoria gently kisses Harper on her head as they leave the Four Seasons hotel where the girls are staying

She is due to show her Spring/Summer 2012 designs this Sunday, the 11th, at the New York Public Library.

Victoria gave a hint of what can be expected from the collection and said she had tried to create 'the perfect little summer dress, something that was fun, something that was girly, something that was easy to wear, something that would take you from day through the night.'

Centre of attention: All eyes were on the two girls as they got out of their car and made their way inside the Plaza for lunch
