This is my pretty cousin, Megan. She is is talented, sweet, supportive, creative. She is one amazing gal and mommy! Here are her happy thoughts.

Hey, I am Meg Peterson and I adore life!  I treasure the small and simple things in life, like dancing around the house with my husband and little girl Olivia or laying under the stars with my sweetheart, dreaming of our future together. 

My sweetheart Derek, is the most wonderful man I have ever known.  His unselfish and loving way of serving our family is incredible.  His most prized possessions are his family, and I truly feel that every day. 

Our little, almost 18 month old, Olivia is such a blessing to our little family.  She truly makes us laugh and feel truly loved each day.  We literally feel that she has brought a little piece of heaven with her when she came into the world.  We are so excited to be giving her a little sister, Grace Christine, in the next few weeks.  There is a special bond that comes with only sisters, just as I have that treasured bond with my sister. 

My top 10 happy thoughts!

1.   Those first little magical moments of life of when your own little baby comes into the world.

2.   When Derek makes sure to always kiss me goodnight and tells how much he loves me before we fall asleep.

3.   Watching Olivia dance and admire herself in the mirror every time we get her out of the bath.  You can feel that she treasures that little body of hers.

4.   The fact that I can face whatever comes my way with the Savior, Jesus Christ standing at my side. 

5.   Those first felt kicks of your little baby growing inside you. 

6.   Getting together with our families at parties or even just a family dinner. 

7.   Having a beautiful garden or creating a beautiful craft to beautify my home with.

8.   Having the house cleaned, a delicious smelling candle burning, and dinner on the table when Derek get’s home from work not too late.

9.   Warm summer night walks, hand in hand with the love of my life, Derek.

10. Chocolate…  mmmm….  Need I say more?

My Happy Thought {by Nicole}

This is Nicole aka Romanian Princess. I am so thankful for her in my life! We met through our hubbies. They were old friends and had gone to high school together and have been friends ever since. When Trent married Nicole I was so excited to have another lady friend to hang out with. And ever since it seems like we've been friends forever. She is sweet, sassy, funny, creative and an awesome mommy to her two BEAUTIFUL children. I love her to death! Here are her Happy Thoughts:

1. When Trent says, “Good night Princess, I love you.” and I say,

“Love you too Princess!”

2. Darian learning new words. My personal favorite is Sister.

5. My phone telling me I have a new text message, pretty rare these days!

7. The number 7, it’s my favorite. I’ve even thought about using it as

a middle name for a child!

Brandi and I met down at Dixie State College in our show choir, Ragin Red. She is real life animated Disney character! She has this cute high little voice thats just adorable. She is so funny and so talented and has an amazing outlook on life. I love her! Here is a bit about her...

My name is Brandi Jae. I am engaged to a man who people say is boy version of me. So we have a lot of fun together! I like to think I am a very outgoing and happy person. I get told ALL the time that I look like Reese Witherspoon and act like her as well. I love to sing, every second of every day, ask anyone who knows me. I love children. I want to one day run my own daycare in my house and play with Kids all day long! I love life and my favorite happy quote is.. "Every 60 seconds you spend angry is a minute of happiness you will never get back" So why not be happy all the time! Even when I am angry I don't let anyone see it. "Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured." So smile and be happy! :)

Things that make me happy!

Heather and I met through my cousin, Megan. Heather is super sweet and has an adorable family. I've known her husband for a years and its so fun to see the love they share. Here are her happy thoughts!

Hello everyone, I'm Heather Ewell and so excited to be sharing with you today what makes me happy. First about me, I've been married to the love of my life for 3 1/2 years and we have one very beautiful, entertaining, energetic little girl who is 20 months old, Megan, and one more on the way (due Sept. 15)!!! I love being a mommy, and a wife! We are currently in Utah but are looking forward to exploring the world with the Army!

What makes me Happy! (in no certain order!)

1. Hearing my little girl laugh while her daddy tickles her

2. Listening/watching the rain fall

3. Hearing my baby cry for the first time

4. Spending time (alone) with my hubby

This is one of my very best friends, and I am fortunate enough to also have her as a cousin. She is one of the most WONDERFUL people I know. Words cant explain how much she means to me and how special she is. She is so sweet, creative, beautiful, funny and all areound awesome! Her new hubby was about to be deployed to Iraq, but it got cancelled last minute. That is a wonderful Happy Thought!  I love her with all of my heart.

My name is Kaity and I am one lucky woman. I am married to the man I love and everyday I realize how right we are for each other. My husband is the national guard and will be getting deployed soon. He's already been gone off and on for training and I've found the truth is absence does make the heart grow fonder. Who knew I could love him even more.

This beauty is Heiporo. She and I went to high school together, and she doesnt know how much I looked up to her! She was so friendly, funny and talented. No matter what, she took the time to say hello and ask how you were doing. Her adorable daughter is Sophie, and couldnt get any cuter!

Troy and I have been married for 5 years! It's crazy how time flies when you're in love! :) Sophie, our little princess is 20 months old. I currently attend UVU and am loving life. I write fiction and children's books in those moments when I am inspired to. I love to read and think everyone should because reading promotes imagination. I never want to grow up and I believe that the best way to get through this life is to laugh. So without further ado...some things that make me happy...

1. Asking my little girl, Sophie, where her "cheezy face" is and watching her smile and squint her eyes while batting her eyelashes...Cutest. Thing. Ever.

2. That momentary feeling of weightlessness in which you feel like you're flying as you speed over a bump in the road. Yes, I delight in putting my hands up like I'm on a roller coaster. :)

3. Joking around with my darling husband and kicking his trash at Call of Duty...Love you babe!

4. Finding happiness in the Gospel again when I had missed out on it for years...

5. Spending time with family and laughing so hard it hurts...

6. Reminiscing about my childhood--Like the time I lit our toaster oven on fire and had to wake my mom from her nap and tell her there was a fire in the kitchen. I was only two... :)

7. The feeling I get when I remember what it was like seeing my husband (before he was my husband) for the first time. Yes, there is definitely, definitely such a thing as Love at first sight...

8. Watching reality TV and contemplating what could have possessed someone to try out for such a show but secretly wishing that I was on the show myself...Oh Survivor...How I love thee...

9. Making friends and making memories with them...

10. Writing a story and finding it years later when I had forgotten all about it and being surprised by how good it actually is...

My Happy Thought {by Sarah}

Sarah and I met at Dixie State College. We were on the service comittee together and I was immediately amazed by her HUGE HEART! We also taught dance together in St. George and she is so talented! I love her dearly!

I truly have so much to be thankful for in my my life! I just started making a list and it went on and on without my control! I kinda put a few more than 10...-First I have to start with Christ. I am so grateful for the atonement, prayer, the Plan of Salvation, scriptures, the principle of tithing, temples, and having THE gospel in my life.
-The constant weight-loss battle. It means I have plenty of food and I am not starving.
-Red lights. If I have to push my brakes and I actually stop at a red light... I have a functioning car.
-Seeing handprints on windows and food smears on the walls. This means there are happy children around
-Paying bills. This means I have a good job in a rough economy. This also means I have a lovely place to stay, with heating, water, air conditioning, and other amenities.
-Making shapes and pictures out of clouds
-The smell of fresh cut grass on a summer day
-1920's-1950's music
-Buying lemonade from children selling treats on the street corners.
-My goal of making at least one stranger smile EVERY day.
-My incredible family! I couldn't exist in a world without them!
-Chocolate Milk. 'Nough said.
-Disneyland- well anything Disney as far as I'm concerned! Especially my Disney Pin Trading collection. :)

My Happy Thought {by Tanya}

This is one of my best friends, Tanya. How we met was actually a really funny story. At the time, I had gotten a part in a feature film by a local filmmaker. I read the script and... it was ridiculous. He made a short trailer and Tanya was in it. At the same time I was involved in a webseries and we were holding audition for a few characters. Tanya came in to audition and I recognized her from the trailer. We chatted a bit and became instant friends. She is so funny and we always laugh so hard when we are together. Currently, we are working on writing an AWESOME script for a western. Its gonna be epic.

Here is a bit about her and some of her Happy Thoughts: Enjoy!

Tanya was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She came to Utah in 2006 to attend BYU, and will be graduating with a teaching certificate in Biology in April 2012. She loves animals, and hopes to one day open an animal rehabilitation center/sanctuary. She also enjoys acting, and is currently pursuing a career in it.

My name is Natasha and the list could go on and on of the things that make me happy, so I really had to restrict myself on this one :) I have been married for almost two years, and time has flown by! We move a lot for my husband's job, so the past two years have been crazy, but fabulous. Janae is one of my very best friends. She and I served in student government together in high school and LOVED every minute of it. She is always so full of energy and so adventurous! She has the prettiest smile and the kindest heart. You cant help but love her.

Hi! My name is Janae Decker. Life is great and full of adventures I'm ready to take on. I try to do something new and exciting every year. I have lived in China for a semester, gone on a couple of crazy adventures (like sky diving), and am now a senior in the dietetics program at Utah State University (Wahoo!). This fall I have an internship at IMC hospital and Primary Children's hospital. Most of the time my life is a whirlwind of excitement doing clinicals at the hospitals, working on nutrition projects for the community, staying caught up with my family, playing sports, and of course adding to my adventures list.

Hello blog! My name is Lacey Nash. I’m married to my sweet husband Brennan and have been for 2 years now! In this short 2 years we have moved to Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, gone through a deployment, and tried juggling school, work, and everyday life. No children…yet, just 1 harry beagle child named Charlie. We hope to one day be back in Utah but for now set our sights on traveling and awaiting to see where the Air Force takes us to next!

My Happy Thought:


1. Listen to the rain at night

This is my beautiful sister-in-law, Shalei. She is a talented singer, mommy, and friend. I am so lucky to have her in my life. She has three darling kids with one on they way and she is just bursting with Happy Thoughts.


1. Listening to Jamis sing 'Goodnight My Angel' by Billy Joel to my girls at night.
2. Snuggling with my kids and seeing their freckles up close.
3. Early morning bike rides and runs, when everything is just waking up... it's a sensory overload.
4. Baking, trying new recipes.
5. Singing. Especially love singing tight intricate harmonies. Finding someone who's voice blends so perfectly with mine that you have to listen carefully to pick out the harmonies.
6. The smell of desert rain. Watching my kids sing and play in the rain.
7. Getting lost in a great book.
8. Listening to my kids try to repeat the Spanish words when they watch Dora or Diego.
9. Bantering with Jamis.... listening to him talk to himself.
10. Holding my new born babies for the first time.

This is my gorgeous friend, Rachael, but she goes by Reggie. We met down at Dixie State College when we both worked for the college newspaper. She has a great sense of humor and a super creative mind. I get really jealous of her sometimes because she lives such a glamourous life, spending all her time on movie sets. :) {soooo cool!} Here is a bit about her and her Happy Thoughts! Enjoy!

If we were on a first date I might tell you that I'm an actress, or at least I pretend to be; I'm afraid of the dark in the bathroom; I don't like being wrong but I'll admit it when I am; I like things to be efficient; I loathe driving; I don't like it when plans change but I also love a good adventure and doing things that make me feel like a carefree kid again; I'd rather have a bouquet of French Fries than flowers, but I won't turn flowers down; I believe in love like in the movies; I have two extra vertebrae in my neck; if I were having the worst day of my life I could go to the beach and everything would be okay. And that's the truth about me. Things That Make Me Happy:

1. My nieces and nephews, especially getting to see Madison every day
2. The temple, being endowed and what it means
3. Good music that inspires me: Secondhand Serenade, Michael Jackson, The Fray, Lifehouse, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Rhythm of Love by The Plain White T's, etc.
4. Accomplishing goals, small and large
5. My memories of being on Glee :D

My name is Mandy and I'm an addict... Let me explain: I'm a mother of two beautiful children and been lucky enough to marry my best friend over 8 years ago. Happiness has been something I've been chasing for many many years. I've looked everywhere, done things I never thought I would do, been places I never thought I would go, all just to feel what happiness really feels like regardless whether it was permanent or temporary. After many falls and many painful trials, I am proud to say I have found happiness. It was in a place I never even thought to look and I didn't even have to look very far.. it was always there inside who I am and the choices I make. Happiness is a choice that we make on a daily basis. Does this mean my life is always easy? No, but I choose to get back up after I struggle and take that happiness back that I lost! I have so many blessings in my life that remind me on a daily basis of what leads me to my happy thoughts.

My Happy Thought {by Whitney}

This is my friend, Whitney. Whitney and her hubby, Jordan, went to school with Gavin. They have an adorable little family and are super fun to play games with. She is an awesome mommy and such a talented lady. Here is a bit about her and her happy thoughts.

I have been happily married for 4 1/2 years. In that short time, we have managed to have two kids. We figure since we want a big family, we better have one right after another. I'm pretty sure we're slightly crazy, but we're due to have our third baby any day!
Aspen is our first and she is 3. She is the sassiest/sweetest little girl. She loves playing dress-ups, crafting, dancing and anything else that's girly. Next we had Sanders, that couldn't be more different. He loves anything to do with a ball. He is constantly throwing anything and everything. This couldn't make his Dad more proud.
Jordan just got a job teaching business at Salem Hills High and helping coach baseball and football. Some of his hobbies are camping, hunting, playing baseball and anything else outdoors. I am living my dream as a stay-at-home mom. I like to craft, cook, play games and (my new found love) refinish furniture. Both of our very favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends.

Here is my wonderful friend, Suzanne. Her and her hubby, Tristan, are expecting their first bundle of joy very, very soon. I wish they lived closer because we love them dearly. Here is a bit about her and her happy thoughts.

I like to think that my whole life is one big happy thought! I wake up every morning with a smile on my face because tristan is either messing with me..playing with my belly.. or kissing me goodbye. i get to see my most fabulous mommy all the time! ( and my fabulous family) I feel like i have so much to be happy about! I know i take it for granted sometimes.. i just need to be reminded how how lucky i am for everything that i have! im about to be a mommy.. and something that i want to teach my little baby girl and my future children is, just be happy, be grateful for everything, and wake up everyday with a smile on your face.
