X Factor - Week 4 LIVE BLOG

And now we get straight over to the X Factor where the scariest things up to now have been Louos Walsh's botched eye surgery and Cheryl Cole's "performance" last week.

Sidenote: I hope nobody in the audience suffers from photo sensitive epilepsy!

First up is Mary Byrne from the over 28's. She comes across as so down to earth in the VT! She's definitely met the judges challenge to sound different this week covering the Barry Manilow track Could It Be Magic. The crowd is gone wild and the judges love her.

Next up is Aiden Grimshaw from Dannii's Boys and he's performing Thriller. I fail to see what the appeal if this guy is - I know he has an individual sound but every time he sings his voice sounds shaky. Louis loves it but Cheryl is being an auld wagon as usual. He is gorgeous when he smiles!

Belle Amie are the third act up tonight and they're singing Venus. Are they singing so badly because of the half naked men on stage with them? Dannii pulled them up on the vocals - spot on.

Now the scouse contingent - Rebecca Ferguson. Someone is going to have to Sellotape this girls eyes open. Vocals are spot on but not a fan of the song choice. She's scoring some big comments from the judge - Simon even comparing her to Leona Lewis.

Sidenote: Dermot has turned into an annoying twat

Next up is Treyc Cohen who survived the bottom two last week. She's singing a much more upbeat track - Relight My Fire (a Halloween song?). She has a fantastic voice but I don't think she connects with the audience which is why she was in danger last week. Simon is now questioning Cheryl! Loves it!

Now everyones favourite painter Matt Cardle singing Bleeding Love. Strong vocal but Matt needs to start giving a performance on a Saturday - he can't keep standing there. The comments from the judges are mixed - mainly on the song choice and nerves. Dannii is biting back tho!

And here comes Wagner! Louis has him singing O Fortuna - the song from The Omen! His performances get more and more bonkers every week.

Next up is Paije Richardson singing Back To Black. It's a sparkling vocal from a very dapper looking Paije! Judges love it (Simon even loves the attitude). This boy ain't going anywhere!

Next is Katie Waissel and she's singing Bewitched?? Cheryl, what the f*** are you playing at? A crap song and GaGa-esque makeup. It's a very entertaining and fun performance .... all things considered. I do have to agree with Simon - she does have a Gwen Stefani style of voice.

And now on to the penultimate act One Direction who are singing Total Eclipse Of The Heart. I'm not usually a fan but have to admit that this week they were very good. Judges love them.

And last and most certainly least - Cher Lloyd singing Stay. There is no performance this week -
its just Cher an a microphone and annoyingly, she is very good. As much as she annoys me, she does deserve to be in the competition. The performance of the season comment from Simon might be pushing it though.

And that's it for tonight - I'll see y'all for the results tomorrow!
